Learning how to paint Various types of edges. I had a bit of trouble keeping the glimmer of the highlight visible, but I learned quite a bit from this exercise. If anyone has ANY advice on creating edges and texture, PLEASE! lol

Example provided by Ctrl+Paint.

Absolutely :) I really like your use of colours. I'm still working getting a good blending technique. One of these days lol

Thank you for the watch, I'm glad you enjoy my work!
Good luck with your learning process, by the way ^^ I'm also trying to understand light and shadows (colours, too!) better...

About edges and textures, I would advise you to use very hard brushes in few places (highlights, areas of strong contrast), to make the viewer focus more on them... But it's also a matter of style, so do as you wish!

Absolutely! Lol I'm getting the sense that understanding light and colour is a life long battle. Thank You, and I will take your advice and try that out. I'm looking forward to checking out your future posts. But by no means is there any pressure :D

That's my feeling too, but I like to pretend I'm on a heroic quest to become a better artist, and eventually save the world ^^
Don't hesitate to send me a note if you think I can help with any of your future works!

It's no problem at all, I really dig your art. I've always loved different textures, and different styles of abstract art. I really want to learn how to make abstract art, but I have absolutely no idea where to start lol.

Thank you very much! When I started I was much more figurative and then I though let's just start making random marks reflecting a mood or a feeling....so that's one way to start!
